V.Tewari Broota was born
in Kolkata. She studied Literature at the University
of Delhi and Fine Art at the Triveni Kala Sangam in
New Delhi. She has had solo exhibitions at the University
of lllinois, Chicago,USA. Her work has been included
in several group exhibitions including ‘Woman
Artists of India: the N.G.M.A. Collection’, shown
in Poland and Bulgaria in 1988, the Exhibition of Contemporary
Indian Art in Tokyo, 1984
