STYLE
He was basically a realistic artist, well known for
his monumental sculptures installed in the public spaces.
He was also a painter of highest mark. Painted in the
technique of the Bengal School.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Madras. 1929-57 Principal, Govt, College of Arts and
Crafts, Madras. 1st Principal of the Govt, College of
Arts and Crafts, Madras. Before he took over, there
were only idol making craftsmen engaged in making artifacts
with traditional designs for the foreign rulers.
