| Born in Nagpur in 1969, 
                          Anant Joshi did his BFA and MFA from the JJ School of 
                          Art, Mumbai. In 1998 he did “Biographical Coins” 
                          a site specific works at Thane, and then in 1999 had 
                          a solo exhibition “Mukhota” of his works 
                          at Gallery Chemould, Mumbai. Since 1994 he has participated 
                          in several residencies and group shows across the country 
                          and abroad, including “Monsoon Show” by 
                          Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai (1994), “The Mumbai 
                          Metaphor” curated by Anupa Mehta, Tao Art Gallery, 
                          Mumbai (2000), “Kitsch Kitsch Hota Hai” 
                          curated by Madhu Jain, by Gallery Espace, New Delhi
